Thanks byc

I wanted to thank the entire byc community. All the mods and everyday uses like myself. This is the best site that I have ever been a part of. I've made new friends that feel like family to me now. There is some wonderful people on this site that really help each other with problems that they are experiencing. Byc has given me hope that there still is hard working, helpful people with good morals still left in this world. A little about myself : I was born in the early seventies in the bible belt of NC. My family has always been a hard Manuel labor blue collar working class family. I've worked a steady job since I've been old enough for a workers permit and cut grass before that. I was born with cerebral palwsey and was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis in 2008. I had to give up my former job of 16 years because of to much pain in February 2013 . With no income still to date, and just being out of work that I loved, there has been a lot of depression in my life the last couple of years. I'm saying this not for sympathy but to thank byc for not only helping me with my small but growing flock (chicken math at it finest lol ) but also my depression. Since I can't do things like I use to there are some days that I have to stay in bed. But my byc family is here for me in those terrible times and I am very grateful. My chickens help with this too. All of y'all have taught me so much and I appreciate all of the experienced people that take the time to help people like me that's just getting started. Grannys thread is where I found my home but I'm always looking at other threads to try to help if it's something that I've experienced and may be able to help just as two crows and casportpony helped me when I first joined this family. I've learned that there is a lot of givers on this site too. Seems all of us would rather give then to receive. This is the way the world was supposed to be. Just wanted to say that I love each and every one of you and thank you for giving me a place to meet some of the finest people around the world. And I can't thank the moderators enough for doing a spectacular job. May God bless us all.

Gosh, what a moving post. I agree that its a great community with lots of people readily spending time every day to help others out and share their experiences. I don't do social media (no Facebook page etc) and this site is my surrogate social media outlet - a lot more grown-up and there's always something new to learn from other members.

I'm pleased BYC helps you so much and you have found a family here. I have too, made lots of wonderful friends. Friends are always here for you on BYC red and you inturn for them.

Thanks York. So glad out main home is on the same thread. You've taught me things that you don't even know that you've help me with. And just being there for me and everyone else means so much. There's a lot of times that I want to comment on post but by the time I get caught up on grannys thread, I've forgotten most of them lol. Thank you so much for your help and just being a great friend.

Glad you are part of BYC - Billy. The wonderful folks on here have made a big improvement in my mind set. I don't do facebook, or twitter or tweet or even have a cell phone. But BYC is here for me 24/7 & no bills in the mail for doing so. I treasure the friends I have made here, they are just the very best. Hope to see you around on some of the threads.

Diva you are one that I've read a lot of your post and got some very valuable information from. Thank you so much too. I bet you had no idea. That's why I didn't mention a lot of names because many of you probably don't even know how much y'all have helped me. Thank you.

Thanks for your post. I'm glad that the BYC members have been such a blessing to you. The same is true of me as well. You and the other BYC members have become like a second family to me.

Same here Michael. Don't know what I'd do without everyone on here.

I think you've expressed how a lot of people feel here. It's been wonderful getting to know you. But I still can't call you Billy.

Great getting to know you too wishing. Guess I'll always be known as red on here lol. It really is like one big family. This is honestly the first site that I haven't seen a lot of arguing. This is about the only site I'm on anymore.
