What antibiotic did you use?

Great article on VENTILATION, one of THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of coop design.

Fantastic treatise to help decide how much SPACE your chickens need.

Chicken math is not just 'addition'...but also should include Division, Multiplication and especially Subtraction!!!

Quoting centrarchid:

As with most antibiotics, the drug companies advise not to use them in egg layers. Most people use a 21 day withdrawal, but that is up to each person. Here is a thread about that:  http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/414380/duramycin-10-and-eggs

This is what the vet on 'Chicken Vet Corner' FB group advises:

  • Tetracycline in water (Duramycin 10) (label dose) -14 days, 8 weeks for sold eggs or known sensitivities

That's after the last dose...and don't feed eggs back to chickens.
