Is there any way to tell what my Silkie cross will look like?

Thanks to such great advice on this page, we had 2 chicks hatch in my homemade incubator! My son & I got to watch the entire hatch of both. Britt looks much more fluffy & seems to have more Silkie features (already growing down feathers on her legs & toes) & she hatched a day late. Alex, the smaller brown chick was born first but not nearly as fluffy or have as many Silkie features. The first pic is Britt, who is absolutely beautiful! She reminds me of a little penguin. She absolutely loves to sleep in our hand or cuddle next to us. Both do but Britt seems much more laid back. For now anyway. Lol Not that it matters but just thought I'd ask. I would just love that crazy Silkie crown on her. Of course we love them both no matter what. Just curious if there was a way to make an educated guess. I believe they are Silkie/Cochin mix, if I remember correctly.

This second is Alex. As you can see, they look like they are going to look completely different which made me wonder.

Thanks for any input you can offer & thank you for all of the advice during my incubation process! You guys ROCK!! Because of you, I had a pretty successful hatch.

Silkies have black skin, and I believe it's dominant. The silkie feathering is recessive, though, so the chicks will not be silkied. Neither seem to be crested, which is another dominant feature of silkies. Both Silkies and Cochins have feathered legs, so you can't really go by that.
I think you have Cochin mixes, but I doubt there is much Silkie blood in them.

Thank you! I wasn't sure how old the crest started to show. They're around 3 days old. I looked up Frizzle & sizzles (still a little confused on the difference lol) but I saw some that had Silkie traits so I was just curious if either looked like they would have that precious little "mop top". Thanks so much for the info!
