We purchased 6 eggs and set them under our hen. 4 hatched. The eggs that hatched were 2 green, 1 brown and 1 white egg. 4 days old.

Breeds: Araucana (green eggs), Red Ancona, Maran (French Wheaten). We are in Australia.

Marans have feathered legs, so the golden chick is likely at least part Marans, but has the wrong down color. The brown chick is definitely your Ancona.

Can I ask what is wrong with the down color? They were sold as pure breed eggs but they will not be show quality. As Maran is a rare breed in Australia.

The only accepted color for Marans in Australia that would have golden down as a chick is the Black Tailed Buff variety. Wheaten chicks are white or pale yellow with dark spots on the head, like the chick up front in this picture. I believe that one might be an wheaten Araucana, with those fluffy cheeks.

I agree.
