Help in identifying a dropping

I discovered a rather odd dropping int he nesting box this morning. Perhaps someone could help me with a diagnosis or perhaps tell me to disregard this and that it is no big deal. I appreciate any insight you may be able to provide. Thanks!







 
That is quite odd but I don't have any idea what it could be. Who knows, a little tumor that broke away, egg malfunction, I don't know. This may seem gross but cutting it open to see what's inside may or may not offer more clues.
 
I decided to lance it open with a razor blade. It was pus filled with a yolk inside of that. Almost as though the egg started to develop, got infected, then came out as a tumor or something. Very strange.
 
Salpingitis are in fact mortified eggs....You have to try to isolate the one who had that egg...as she certainly have an infection because of that. If it is salpingitis, chances are that she will not make it.

I've got 21 birds, so it will be very difficult to isolate her. Is this issue contagious? Are the other birds in any kind of danger?
 
no it's not contagious...I discovered that mine had salpingitis because she was not as active as usual so I isolated her..then I discover these weird things also in her droppings...she didn't make it even though I took her to the vet and tried to treat her.
