I have a 6mth old RIR, that appears to have gone blind literally overnight.I can see Something that looks like a worm floating IN/behind the black of her eye. Is this eye worm? I started vetrx last night and no change, I can still see it in there, but it's like it's behind the lens. She has a full crop and if I take her to the water she will drink, but quite obviously can't see to get there herself....any suggestions....

It could be some kind of eye worm. Does it move? If not, it took be a tumor from Marek's disease. Also, how clean is your coop? Sometimes chickens can go blind from ammonia fumes.

I spot clean everyday,we deep clean every weekend, I probably clean way more than what the norm should be, but I live in town and don't want neighbors to complain. I can see it "swimming" around. Her eyes are normal color and shape, but she doesn't dilate with light or when I wave my hands in front of her face.

Just to be clear, not putting the VetRx IN the eyes right? That may seem like a dumb question but I've seen people do it.

As mentioned, could be eye worm. I don't know a lot about eye worm but it doesn't seem like that would cause sudden, complete blindness in both eyes so quickly. Cataracts generally cause a grayish clouding of the lens.

Nope, upper roof of the mouth. I wonder if I have just caught this in the very early stages, if it's eye worm, will it eventually work it's way out of under the lens and then she will get her sight back possibly? it's very creepy looking. I feel like I was watching an alien movie.
