Hi everyone smile.png
I have a 4 week old barred rock cockerel. I was just curious at how many weeks or months it will be until he starts crowing? It's been forever since I've had a rooster so I'm super excited to start hearing the crowing everyday again smile.png

Most will start between 4-7 months depending on whether there are adult roosters, or other roosters his age around, and how masculine he's feeling.
Chickens, muscovy ducks, turkeys, donkeys , goats, dogs, fish, parakeets, a parrot, and a cat.

Chickens and dogs are healing to the soul.

I brake for squirrels.

Some of my birds.

Then he will feel free to try out his crow at a younger age, I find five months is the age most try, though it sounds nothing like a crow, it will be squeaky and you will say, what the heck was that when you first hear it.
