Dixie is doing well with Loretta Lynn. They are coming out of the broody coop now. Loretta is fast. But she's not as big as the classroom hatched chicks. Sort of interesting. Dixie scratches and scratches for Loretta. I imagine those broody moms sleep well!
It smells like blossoms outside. An apple tree is blooming out there and I think choke cherries are blooming in the woods as well. Jerry you are a guru with the fruit trees and walnut trees.
DH is at red lake and I'll be taking DS to trap in bemidji tomorrow.
I think this cream leg bar breed is a lot of hype and a one trick pony sort of deal. But hey, if there's still some folks that think they are the bees knees then keep supplying them Ralphie. I will tell you I loved the cute big eyes, the blue eggs. What was disappointing was their size and translated egg size, and their flighty nervous nature. I found barring on my two hens quite blurred. I tried them though. Lesson learned. I think heritage birds are the way to go IMHO. I do get the green eyed monster when I see Jerry's avatar, though. Jerry I will PM you a small order for your sojourn north this June, if workable.
