Surviving Minnesota!

He's just gorgeous Ralphie. I wish i had Acres upon Acres and Coops upon Coops for that boy and his little henny pennies, the creamettes.

Ivie: So Far I haven't had 'a-talkin-to' so your red flag on my post must have not went through. It may have been confusing with ovation. LOL. Too Funny. I will say that I have probably deserved a couple in my time here on BYC....

Cluckies...it was quite warm here the last couple days and those candelabra's are all crackled now. They'll be throwing off some beautiful candlelight now for sure. I'll get some photos. Love them with a little "crackle". But now we need some temps to go down so they dont completely crumble before tomorrow.

You were Red Flagged??

Ivie got you?

You don't mess with us Sherburne county people!!!! roflmao

I was just out and released the birds, fed the Roosters (I thought they were nearly out of feed, they weren't)

I caught Ginger and started making him into a lapper, incase some one wants him. He is a nice bird and did not fight the first lesson in becoming a lapper.

All of this in a Tee shirt. So nice out today!

I'm impressed with the dolla Christmas Tree.  Why am I the fool that buys them for $30 at cut your own?!!!!

I guess I don't have a Lowes near me.

It was the luck of being in the right place at the right time. The sale sticker on this tree was $47!!
I suppose it was cheaper for them to sell it for a buck than to dispose of them.

I'll bet they will just be gorgeous!

You must have buttered her up with the Tree Cutting Lessons that you gave her for free inadvertantly.

Are you getting Married Coffee? Are you buying out that snotty neighbor and putting them on the streets and expanding your coops to that property? Hmmmm....just don't know....

I wish I could hold a Ginger Turkey on my Lap. What fun.

Kloppers I just saw those were Fraser Firs. OMGosh. Those are the 'it' tree if you can afford them. Just gorgeous. Somebody in town is selling them for $54 right now. It's a hard sell around here when USFS permit is $8.

WOW a Buck!!!

What a deal.

I put our tree up again today. It fell down the first time. The tree stand was not really made for a Norway Pine.

I used a Running bucket (red 5 gallon) Put cross member like boards on the trunk, put the trunk in the bucket, poured 50 pounds of gravel. sand on it and added 2-3 gallons of water.

It is not going anywhere now!

Not a pretty tree, kind of homely, but we like it.

I think I might have been a mischievous Husband today. I kind of flaunted Judy's "no turkey on the deck rule:. I saw the turkeys on the deck, so I opened the door and threw them a bag full of out dated bread crumbs ( dressing croutons).

The turkeys loved them, They were happy little birds! I did ask them to leave the deck after they were done eating. I had to enforce her rule.
Oh I am so excited. You even have a Running bucket! So! That means that you do KNOW where Runnings is in the city of Monticello in the state of Minnesota and therefore - to 'foo-foo' shop is explainable to you and all the shinny stuff inside. LOL

It was definitely the pretties tree in the stack. There was a douglas Fir which has not very pretty long needles and some others that the needles were almost blueish with a white powdery look to them.
