Surviving Minnesota!

After all the discussion we had on Baltimore and Orchard Orioles, I had one on the feeder. I took some terrible pictures then went to see which one I had.

What bird shows different colors for both, depending on age...Young and women yellow, older and male orange.. I have decided I just saw an oriole...period.....

Jerry it's good to see you are back, and I have a question for you since you seem to be the expert on fruit trees. And lots of other things... With apple trees they say you need a pollinator such as a crab apple right? my regular crab seems not to be doing so good but I have another crab called spring snow, it doesn't produce fruit just blossoms as you probably know, being the expert you are. So my question is - is this a pollinator even though it doesn't produce fruit? (I wouldn't have bought the tree if I knew it didn't produce apples).

You would discriminate against a tree just because it does not produce apples???

Yes again
Its a nice looking tree but no apples, and it's an "apple tree". They didn't tell me when I went looking for a crab apple tree that it would bloom but then nothing. :th
If you want crab apples, I have barrel loads in the fall... Pesky beasts are like ball bearings under your feet.
