Surviving Minnesota!

We caught a fox in the hay barn yesterday and have him locked up there until we can trap it. So I let the chickens out finally today, and boy were they happy about that. Only to be woken from my afternoon nap by my husband who saw another fox in the yard (should have known there'd be more than one). So we had to go searching for the chicks and chase/tempt them back into the coop. Those chicks seem to have 9 lives so far, hope we haven't used them all up yet. Have a live trap ordered, should be here Tuesday.

Scary! Do you have any guns?? Would already be dead at my house

Heh yeah we have guns and I walk around with a danged rifle but the minute I put the thing down that's when the fox shows up. Haven't seen it in a couple days and now the kids aren't in school/daycare so the gun is locked up, and that's when the fox shows up. I think I know why they get a reputation of being "sly." And the one in the hay shed is hiding as the shed is full of hay so trapping it is gonna be our best bet with that one.
