Surviving Minnesota!

Good morning Minnesota chicken people.

Et lovely neighboring states (countries).

Kids are on the school bus and Sadie mae is snuggled at my ankles with her beef soup-bone she wants to Take outside and bury.

Cluckies I love your run pictures. I mixed some hay into mine. They must have mowed a swamp. Real coarse hay grasses from swamp grass. Good for septic mounds and chicken runs. Not so great for feeding cows or horses I would say. But boy does it keep its loft in the run!

Pink sunrise.

We are experiencing a heat wave in the Northland. 31 degrees at 0500 and they forecast a high of 44. Perhaps the Minnesota Banana Belt is moving North? I suspect the real facts are that soon we will awaken to the real winter and find this is temporary climate variability.
The chickens love it and are free ranging daily. Even so I have no inclination to stimulate the lay and turn the lights on.
The photos of the new chicken facility are very impressive. You must have your man well trained and motivated to go along with this venture ?
