They all look great! You have a lot more Orps hatched than I do! They are being stinkers for me this year!Good Morning!
Light Rain in the northern banana belt. I re-fired up the incubator one more batch won't hurt right?
Meet the original Hoover. Hoover is a January TOAD. Hoover is being sentenced to a couple of days in jail as he thinks it is acceptable to mount multiple Rhode Island Red Females that are half his size. View attachment 1380364

Here are some of the other January hatches. Some nice looking buff orpington.....some chicken soup material. View attachment 1380366 View attachment 1380367 View attachment 1380368
Don't let their cuteness fool you.....they can pack away the feed. But my daughter cuddles every last one of them.....I am trying to make her switch her breed to the Buckeyes, for the sake of MN combs. But she is having nothing to do with it. Then I started with the "All the fluffy down makes them hot in the summer....potential for heat stroke." She responds with "check out this new invention A FAN! oooh and look a GARDEN HOSE with SPRINKLER attachments." I think I am destined to have buff Orps for a few more years. She is only 13 so I figure in about 5 years I can get rid of them.
On another note.....the first barn wedding of the season is set to take place in 10 days. I significantly increased my daily step count by volunteering to vacuum the hayloft. Mom for the triple win here.....cleaning, exercising and alone for 2 full hours.
