Surviving Minnesota!

Another pic. I had to make the area smaller I think they need more heat. So I put them in a box inside the shower with the electric heater blowing in. I stopped and bought one of those chicken heating pads but I don't think it is working. It is hard plastic and doesn't even feel warm..

SO here is what we spent our morning doing! the kittens made their final move out of my shop to a different shed where I cut a cat flap. we then spent the morning playing in the snow with the kittens and puppies! they had a blast playing on my new grain wagon. we were thrilled that our dogs did so well with them. we have been practicing being nice with our lab mix pup. she has been a bit anxious around them, knowing she should be nice and fighting the urge to chase them. She played so nice with them!

Duh duh da duh.. I unplugged heating pad to take it back because it wasn't working I was going to go get a lamp.. And when I picked it up the other side was hot.. Lol.. I had it upside down..

Does any1 know if I can cover the pad with anything. The directions say don't cover with blanket or towel but if they sit on it and poop on it not sure how I will be able to clean it.

I have never used one, but I know some people make a little "cave" with them and the chicks go into the cave and onto the roof.. I think that is the kind you got...

I think I have all the creambars next weekend and maybe the weekend after already sold. BUT I am giving them away according to the prices online,,WOW...

Kloppers now that you have barn yard kitties you'll have to check under the hood of your cars before you start them. Sometimes on winter nights they like to crawl up by the warm engine parts and sleep.

I'm glad you reminded me. It has been many years since j have had to think of that. We used to just give a beep of the horn before starting.

My younger brother ran a kitty through the belts one time and not only was it a tragedy, it fried the alternator too. Poor kitty

Kloppers that is super!!!

Did you get the crapper fixed?

I wish I had some kittens outside to keep the weasels at bay! Of course my last cat the eagles got, I think..

I got the leak plugged for now and a new toilet sitting on the porch. We ended up having my parents over for dinner and to watch football so we will do it tomorrow. And by we I mean me :)
