Explain this all to me slowly. So hatchery chickens are not just run of the mill maybe what they say with some leghorn in the wood pile to increase egg production?
I was under the impression, hatchery birds were not pure or show quality because they were crossed to get better production or feed conversion and so on. Now I will admit I got that from here on BYC,...
And I have seen a few myths perpetuated on here.
I am not unhappy with any of my hatchery stuff, but people are always asking if it is hatchery lines or not when they ask about buying chicks.
