I have a plucker. but for just 12 birds I would do them by hand, well maybe not, that is on the edge of making the clean up of the plucker worth it. Cleaning them .... well you know.... If they are CX's the feathers will almost fall out if you dunk in the hot water then into cold so the skin fixes. Might take two dunks, I learned the hard way a cold water dunk does wonder. It stops the skin from ripping and when you pull you get all feathers...
Also if you do not want my little one the Hardware Store in Zimmerman has a Large one they rent. I have no idea how much it is though.
