What's this on my girls wing?

I was out petting my chickens and when I was stroking her wing I felt a little bump. I moved the feathers away and I saw this little kinda bald circle spot. I took a picture, but she was moving a lot and the camera wouldn't focus. She's a 3 month old barred rock.

Okay. If it is an ingrown feather, could it heal on its own? Here's a couple more pictures of this weird feather stem (or whatever its called) right by it.

I would open the bump with a sterilized needle and probe it to see if it is a feather. Since I've never treated this, all I can do it to refer you to other threads about it.
