Hi yall! I have yet another chicken question. I noticed one of my green egg layers hasn't laid an egg in a couple weeks. She's about 10 months old, and I didn't think much of her taking a break until today I noticed she looks like she has lost a lot of feathers. I know chickens can molt, but I came here to see what yall thought it may be. Because I'm worried she has mites or something. Any comments are appreciated, thanks!

This next picture is a little blurry, but it's just a picture of her chest area with the same feather loss

Are those new feathers growing behind her earlobe or are they bitten off old feathers?
You may have some feather picking going on...but I'd go out at night and check for mites at vent and around head/neck.

No, it's new feathers growing in. I checked her out again today and checked around her vent. She didn't have any mites or anything. I did notice she has feathers growing in in several places. So I did think she is molting. I did however take the chance to check out my other chickens vent areas just to see if anyone else had anything going on and I found 1 chicken that has lice! It seems pretty new bc she is the only one and doesn't seem like an infestation or anything. But I'm not sure how to treat. I've read quite a bit about treating with seven dust. Then some say not to. Also treating with food grade Diatomaceous Earth, then some say it doesn't work. So I don't know. I'm gonna do a little more research and then treat. But on the chicken I originally posted about, I'm more confident now that she is molting. Thanks for the help! :)
