Not sure which he is, RIR or New Hampshire??

This is my new rooster "Sunny" I was told he's a New Hampshire but he looks an awful lot like my late rooster BirdBird (RIP buddy!) who's a RIR. Any opinions?

There really isn't much difference between hatchery Rhode Island Reds, Production Reds, and New Hampshires other than a slight difference in the shades of red. Your boy looks light enough for him to be labeled New Hampshire.
 
Given the lack of obvious yellow legs, I'd say he's a Production Red, however with his chestnut color and profuse black tail feathering, he was probably marketed by a hatchery as a New Hampshire.
 
Thank you all for your help and very much useful information. I have some chicks I'll be posting once their adult feathers finish coming in. Not sure what all breeds they are. Bought them for eggs and meat, 2 are strictly pets (the frizzle and the silkie) couldn't pass up the deal. Ended up with this roo, 2 bantam hens (australop and what I believe is a white rock) along with 21 chicks assorted breeds including 6 speckled Sussex, 1 white silkie, 1 black frizzle, 2 feather legged Cochins, 7 yellow chicks that appear to be new hampshires, 3 light brown chicks that the people had no clue what they are and 1 itty bitty baby that doesn't want to grow but is as cute as it could be! I'll post pics either here or on their own thread when it's easier to possibly tell what they are. The lady bought part of the eggs and wasn't told what they were besides chicken eggs. The silkie and Sussex chicks are all around 6-8 weeks old the rest were hatched by her between October 23-25th
