Old puppy meet new puppy

That's great news, everything is fixable, I'm sure she'll be feeling great in a short time and her true personally will start to show. Is she and your other dog getting along. I'm so excited for you.

She is already perking up. For the first time today Nala tried playing with the new dog. Usually she jumps on the couch to get away from her. I was excited it's a good sign.

Maybe up until now Nala thought that sickly dog wasn't sticking around, I have never personally brought an adult dog home due to my all female pack, only puppies so I'm curious to see how it goes, is she housebroken, or is she kept outside, I'm not sure how I would handle it, puppies, now those I know.

She is potty trained. I was very protective of my dog and kids and kept the new dog on a leash just in case. I do have her inside and she doesn't get on furniture or chew anything but toys. She is a sweet dog all around. When I first found her she was cool with the neighbors now she won't go near them. It's weird. I never would have adopted an adult dog cause you never know how they were treated before and they normally have really bad hard to break habits. I wanted a puppy.

Hopefully she will be one of those who work out beautifully, not all are nutty, good luck your way.

She is coming out of her shell. She loves goofing off around the house and with Nala. In the mornings if she doesn't get her jog for the day soon enough she barks and tells you all bout it. I am doing a few simple comands like: drop it, leave it, off, out, sit. Working on go home which is go in the crate but she doesn't like that one or seem to understand that it's only for when we leave the house or to eat. She has been jogging beside me (I slowly ride a bike) and go 3 miles but as soon as we get home she grabs a ball and wants me to throw it for her.

I noticed today after the jog she seemed a little off and not as excited to run. I looked at her paws and they are looking a little irritated again so will do walks only maybe short jog for about a week and see how she does. Not sure how much weight she has gained but she has gained some as her bones are no longer as prominent as they used to be. Can still see her hip bones but not as bad.

All wonderful news, she looks really good. All my younger dogs are extremely active like that, that's why I chose them. I see you are in Florida, here in Wisconsin we have a lot of Lyme disease, half my dogs have had it and they have flare ups, it causes shifting leg lameness and they become old acting, but I don't think it prevalent in your area so I'm probably just reflecting my fears. Are you running her on blacktop. She's so pretty.

I'm working on switching her to a full raw diet. I do run her on blacktop as the side of the road has fireant mounds bigger than she is. I think she is still having a small problem with yeast as her paws are still slightly red and wet looking if you lift them up and look at them. She had an ear infection which was cleared up. Once the bag of dry dog food is gone and she is in an all raw diet I think a lot of her skin and paw problems will go away. She has nasty dry flakey skin right now which has gotten better over the past couple weeks. However she happened to be scratching an itch a few days ago and ripped her skin open and the fur is gone from the area that looked completely normal before she itched. Now she has a nasty looking scab.

I'm not sure about lyme diease down here. There are deer and whatever diseases they carry and their ticks. Yuck. Knock on wood haven't run into any ticks yet.
