Barred Rocks--yellow legs, straight comb
Dominique--yellow legs, rose comb
Cuckoo Marans--white legs (sometimes feathered legs) and straight comb.

Some old timey folks call any black and white bird a Dominique or "Dominekker".

I'm thinking Marans for these birds. it will be interesting to see what color eggs they lay. Dark brown always sets off an egg basket nicely smile.png

Another thing
Yellow shanks, single comb, brown eggs- BPR
Yellow shanks, single comb, WHITE eggs- Holland!

Any advice on breed? We were told it was a dominique but I'm just not sure. He does have yellow legs. He is about a year old and his comb isn't quite straight but doesn't really look like a rose.

From what I can see, it's a straight comb mixed with a pea comb. Definitely not a Dominique, there's no rose comb going on there. And it's a mixed breed bird, he only has one barring gene.

Thank you! I figured he was mixed since his comb was different. And yeah I can see it looking like pea and straight mixed LoL
