Sick hen- Respiratory illness???

Most feed stores sell Corid in the cattle medicines, or ask the clerk. It may be also sold under the brand names Ampromed or Amprol. Corid comes in powder packets and liquid.

Ok thanks 4 the help! Gave her some electrolytes the 1st day until i could get her the corid. She seems better now. Shes running around more and catching bugs like she used to. Thanks

I have a hen who's coughing and having breathing problems, I got her a year ago as a ex barn hen, she had this problem a few days after getting her, she was treated with antibiotics, which cleared her up but left her with a harch voice, she has had like hiccups for over 6mouths . But the last 3 days has gone downhill bad, I'm not able to get antibiotics, so been trying home remedy but got some stuff coming to hopefully help the problem, but won't be here till Wednesday. I'm in a pickle as I can't separate her, as just been given two hens which are in the spare coop and iv just put in to young silkies who have taken to her. So worried that they might catch it. As I'm stuck in this situation, what should I be giving them. So far iv put ACV in water , DE powder everywhere, iv given her natural yogurt with a few drops of oregano. A there anything else which might be in my cupboard which I could give to help until the stuff comes to treat?

I would find a way to isolate her immediately. I failed to isolate once because I couldn't figure out how, and exposed my entire flock to Mycroplasma. Now they have it for life and I have a closed flock.
From experience, find a way.
Then I'd try to get lots of water with an immune booster. I use nutra drench.
No yogurt, chickens can't digest dairy and it may stress her.
Water with supplements is critical.
What do you have coming to treat with?

I'd use that, and try to get her to drink water regularly. Even if you have to spoon feed it. See if she peeks up at all.
