Question regarding showgirls

I'm fixing to get a showgirl hen. I'm not to familiar with the breed. Can they stay out in winter? I live in middle georgia. Just wondering because of their exposed necks. Will they do fine around other chickens? I have buffs, australorps and barred rocks.

You might try talking to @chiqita (who breeds great ones) and @TheKeeper who has bunch of them in a large mixed flock.

They do well with anyone a silkie will do well with. If you are putting them in with a large fowl flock don't get any crested breed with a valued scull. They are OK outside in winter but need extra bedding like many bantams.

Showgirls are great chickens with fiesty personalities!
