Hi I'm Emily

Thread Starter
I have 11 chickens and 5 ducks. I've been reading the brewers grain and fermenting threads like crazy. And I may be able to source some spent grains. So I'm wondering if anyone has tried fermenting the brewers grain with acv and maybe added sugar to replace whats been used up for the beer. Maybe doing this could free up some more nutrition?

Hi welcome-byc.gif Emily

Glad you could join the flock! I'm afraid I don't do fermented so can't be of help to you on that. If you pop by the feeding and watering section members there will be able to help you. Here is the link ~http://www.backyardchickens.com/f/12/feeding-amp-watering-your-flock
If you can't find a thread to ask on you can start your own by looking for "Start a new thread"

Good luck I hope you get lots of answers.

Enjoy BYC frow.gif

:welcome I'm glad you joined our community!

Unfortunately, I've never fermented any feed either. However, if you post in the section Yorkshire Coop linked to, other members should be able to help.

Good luck! :)

Hi Emily,  very nice to meet you.  I know there is at least one thread on fermenting feed.  If you put that in the search box it and any others should pop up for you.:welcome
