Humans have bred chickens over 4000 years.  Today there is a huge array of shapes, size and colors of chickens. What we have observed over the last 4000 years of testing is that, a chicken becomes a chicken no matter what you do to it.  Not once has a chicken become another kind of animal or even a different type of avian.

Thanks. I have quite a few birds in my landrace flock, but since they are almost completely feral and survive pretty much on their own, I really don't know exactly how many I have.  Probably somewhere between 75 and 100.  Had many chicks hatched in the wild this spring. These are just some of the ones I could get pictures of with my 300mm telephoto lens.  They are hard to get close to and they really don't like it when I point the camera at them and run for cover.  I think they think the camera lens is a big eye or something.

Thank you. This has been a great year with lots of rain and the birds are looking great.
