Hi, I'm remuda.  I'm mainly a horse person but with the kids all grown I have more time so I'm back into chickens.  It's been a long while since I've had any more that a couple during the summer for pets.  I just got 11 three week old Red Comets, waiting for my new (to me) chicken house to arrive.  Looking forward to  chickens roaming the yard again.

Welcome to BYC, Remuda. Glad you decided to join our flock. Red (Golden) Comets are laying machines. You should get loads of large brown eggs from those 11 girls. :o) If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Very nice to meet you Remuda.  Welcome to Backyard chickens. You should be getting tons of eggs once they start laying.

Hello, and :welcome I'm glad you joined us!

Good luck with your Red Comets (Red Sex-links)! They should lay lots of large brown eggs for you once they're mature.:)
