Very interesting. Your comment and the remarkably consistent pied pattern makes me think what you have are truly pied birds.

I do think many if not all of 'our' pieds are single dose whites. Had a pied pair, they produced exactly the expected ratio if this were true: 1:4:1 of normal:pied:white.

'm working with a breeder from the states to try get an import syndicate opened up, it's still in it's infancy but hopefully within a few years we should be able to import.

.

From other comment, does that mean there are no white guineas in your country?
Hey Kev, yes there is a few breeders with white guinea fowl thanks to Peacocks Australia Qld and his amazing work of breeding exclusive mutations. His outstanding quality and exciting colours everyone in Australia is sooooo proud of.

The official list of guinea fowl colours in Australia http://www.australianpoultryforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19247

The reason some have not seen them due to possible high risk of theft as per several facebook pages about them.

The Australian guinea fowl club members have all seen all the colours like White, Brown, Powder blue ect.. at the open day each year.

Hey Kev was reading the science paper of genetics published by geneticist Peacocks Australia Qld and he wrote about the pied and white gene and how he first created the whites in oz
Was really interesting paper, could not put it down
