My 3 little girls are now 4 weeks! Should I introduce grit to their diet now so they can start eating treats once in a while?

I would fill a pie plate with dirt that they could scratch and play in. It will keep them occupied and they will pick up small grit pecking in it.

On July, 28th 2016, I lost my Most Beloved Bird "Miss Red" She was a beautiful Rhode Island Red at 3 years old. She was the most perky, loving and tolerent bird i EVER had!!! Miss Red loved to go on walks and sit in laps. She even went to 2 parades and a 1st grade classroom. Please send loving notes here... http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1124787/give-thoughts-of-kindness
