New to chickens and already having problems

I'm new to the chicken world (2 weeks). A few days ago I had a hen being lathargic and not eating. Standing or sitting with her eyes closed. I did some research and thought she might be egg bound. Have her a warm bath and checked her vent. Couldn't locate anything. She pooped a lot of yellow diarrhea. She isn't showing any improvement yet. Another hen stayed the same symptoms, I bathed and checked her and found nothing. She seemed better was found her dead this morning. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Neither hen has laid since coming to my house 2 weeks ago.

Welcome to BYC! Sounds like a parasite problem not egg bound. If the bird was egg bound there would be more of a clear liquid coming from the vent not a yellow diarrhea. Yellow diarrhea is usually a sign of Histomoniasis; Black Head. It's a disease that attacks the liver and left untreated results in death. It's caused by internal parasites. It can be transmitted through the feces. Sick birds don't lay.

Please post in full detail at  "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread. or if possible have the vet do a necropsy on your dead hen.

Have you informed the seller of the problems you are having?.  It came on so soon I'm wondering if they were sick to begin with.

Sorry you're running into problems like this so early in keeping chickens. I agree with drumstick diva, the chickens may have been ill when you got them and the seller should be advised.

I hope things get better and easier for you so you can enjoy your flock.

I have spoke to the seller. They have no sick birds currently. They have been very helpful in helping me troubleshoot this problem. 4 of my 6 chicks came from this farm. Only 2 have been sick.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.  Any luck getting to the bottom of things yet?  Was the emergency thread helpful?  How are the rest of your chickens doing yet?
