I use NuStock for leg mites. Slather it all the way to the top of the leg, to the feathers. Once is usually enough. I also had a rescue red sex link. She was my favorite. She had leg mites really bad. I had to treat her twice with the NuStock . NuStock is just sulfur, pine tar and mineral oil. Best thing I've ever used. You don't have to withdraw the eggs...it's not ingested. Use neem oil on the perches to help get rid of the little devils. Don't forget to wear gloves, or your hands will smell like sulfur for a few days.
