Looking for people who use coop cams!

Hello all! I recently read an article about someone who installed a "trail cam" type of camera in their coop, and they linked it to a cell phone. They could view the camera live feed. I really want something like this for Christmas, but my husband said he can't find what camera would be linkable to a phone.

Does anyone have something like this and can you give me any info on it?? Please and thanks! The only possible issues with this is 1. I would be constantly spying on my chickens! And 2. If something ever got into the coop to attack them I would be freaking out seeing it live (if I wasn't home and felt helpless.) yikes

But anyway... I really want one!

My husband just bought me this for our coop. I can't give you user details about it because he hasn't installed it yet! Got it at Costco. It does have 32 feet of night vision! I can't wait till it gets hooked up!

I bought this one awhile ago off of amazon, finally talked my DH into getting it running a few days ago. now i'm ordering an acrylic sphere to put it in in the coop to keep the dust off of it, so now i'm waiting for that to come. We did have to buy a WiFi extender to get the wifi to reach the coop (it is about 125 ft from the house. but yey, it works! yep, can see if from an app on my phone, and through the internet.

Here's another shot of it in the complete darkness. The cool thing is I can hear them too! (And I can talk to them too!)

They are roosting far in the back, I can see them but I know what I'm looking at. We are going to place the camera differently when the temporary wall comes out.

Oh my gosh, thank you everyone for all the info! What a great Christmas gift this will be! I'm sure it will be so handy. I heard a strange noise in the middle of the night last night, and I thought to myself... If I had a camera I could check on them and go right back to sleep. But I don't yet... So I stayed up worrying then went out in the cold. Can't wait to get something hooked up!

You'll love it! Not only can you see what's going on you can hear too! And it also has this function that you can have it make a really loud vicious dog bark or a siren! I did it the other day when my daughter was in there and it made her jump! (Hehehe, it was funny!) If something gets around there that should scare it good!
