Rhode Island Red cross (Rhode Island Red x New Hampshire)

Hi Guys,

I have an f1 of Rhode Island Red x New Hampshire. (see below picture).
I just bought new Pure Breed Rhode Island Reds.
If I cross the 2, what do I got?

You would have mixed offspring- 3/4 RIR, 1/4 New Hampshire. You could call them "production reds", which isn't really a breed but a term frequently used for mixed breed reds that are bred with egg production in mind.

Also wanted to mention that both birds visible in the photo are roosters.

I thought my F1s are already 75% RIR since New Hampshire are also from RIR.
Will I have a higher percentage of RIR now if I crossed my F1s (RIR x NH) to a purebreed RIR?
I actually have 30+ Production Reds.
I just got 5 new pure breed RIR.
I'm thinking of crossing the 2 so I can have higher percentage of RIR for egg production.

Yes both of them are rooster. Just want to show how my F1s look like.

New Hampshires were originally created from RIR but that was roughly 100 years ago. They are considered completely separate breeds now so I don't think you can count a New Hampshire as being half RIR. Perhaps someone else can chime in with more specific details about the differences between the two breeds besides color. I'm not an expert on either breed.

I'm actually trying to produce new offspring for egg production.
What I noticed is that production reds are better for meat than eggs.
In your experience what's the best layer so far?
They said Black/Red Sex Links are good layers unfortunately I only have 2 Barred Rock Hens/1 Delaware.

X2 on StarMeKritten; you would have Production Reds which are produced by crossing red gene roosters (RIR, NH, or PR) with red gene hens (RIR, NH, or PR). Actually whether or not Production Reds are actually a breed depends on who's defining breed. Some people do consider PRs a breed since two PRs crossed will give you more PRs (red gene offspring), however PRs are certainly not recognized as a breed by any poultry sanctioning bodies or organizations.
