Help sexing a Wheaten Maran Chick

Hi all

Unfortunately we only got one chick out of a batch of fertile eggs and have been told you can sex Wheaten Maran Chicks from 2 weeks old.

This little one is now 4 weeks - can others out there in BYC world let me know if you think we have a pullet or a roo?

I know it can be hard to get a specific shot, but one at a level that shows legs better would help. Heavy legs usually mean male.

Four weeks is a bit young to be sure but just from its general conformation and posture I’m thinking male.

If you scroll all the way to the bottom of this page you can see how to sex wheaten marans by wing feather color. I did a search after I wrote the above, so yeah, it is a male.
