Day 28 no movement no pipping?

Oh my, sorry things got more complicated for you! You did the right thing making sure everyone's beaks were clear and keeping your humidity up as high as you can. Let us know how things look when you get back from work. If there are still blood vessels in that inner membrane around the ducklings, you really can't do anything else to help them yet. Those need to disappear first before proceeding. Once the blood has been drained from those, the yolk sac will also be absorbed and the ducklings will be ready to hatch. Helping any more before that point will most likely not end well for the duckling.

Here is the link venymae mentioned about assisted hatching. It's always a last resort, and always best for the ducklings to do as much of the work themselves as possible. It's alot to read through, but it tells you what to look for and then when and IF you should help:

Hi! Chiming in very late in this thread! I hope by this time your ducklings have hatched ok, or at least are still doing ok!
Just a little info which is probably of no use, but I have hatched a couple of batches of ducklings and I live in an extremely dry and hot place. I have assisted a hatch twice but only after about 4 or 5 days. The ducklings can survive a couple of days (once theyre supposed to be out of the egg) as they absorb the yolk. Because its so dry here, my incubator cant keep up, so when the membrane dries out, I remove a couple of pieces of shell, and use a pin or something similar to make a tiny hole in the membrane, just enough for airflow to be sufficient, and so I can see their little beaks breathing. Then I leave them and leave them and leave them. They almost always make it out themselves. As long as they can breath they should be ok, and you will really know when they are stuck, because they will be distressed in their peeping, and trying really hard to push their beaks out of the hole.

Thanks- I should have helped a little less but they were all shrinkwrapped so I couldn't even see several of their beaks. I was able to save three and I don't know if I could have saved more with a little more care. Now that I've had this hatch, I know what to do if I ever have to again but hopefully my humidity will be ok. My hydrometer on my other incubator has now stopped working to so I'm spraying these eggs every time I turn and hopefully that will be enough. I'm going to buy another hydrometer while I wait to get a better incubator too.

And yes, here's the pic! I had made a new thread showing them off! All three are doing great. One I ended up helping a lot and I didn't think he'd make it but he's perfectly fine now. Electrolytes, vitamins, and Brewers yeast did the trick! They think my hand is their mama and they love being held.

I had one duckling hatch out on day 31 this past Spring. Very odd, but my hypothesis is her side of the incubator was cooler than the other side somehow. 28 days is just a ballpark figure, some hatch earlier and some later. What do you see when you candle? Do they take up the entire space inside the egg and just leave the air cell visible? Can you see any pushing on the air cell at the edges?

Your pic looks like a Cayuga...? Would and could you please try to assist me? I can never get anyone to respond and my Cayugas are in lockdown and I think something is wrong....can you please give advise? One sort of pipped this morning but didn't break membrane and other not moving but I saw all in air sac on day 26 very healthy...
