Keeping American Games / American Gamefowl as Yard Ornaments

Pics
I only have two game hens. I obtained them last July and they are with the rest of my backyard flock. I have really enjoyed the addition. They are beautiful birds and very easy to deal with. When I got them last summer they were both laying well and they had both been in breeding pens at their previous owner. I saved their eggs with hopes that either one of them or one of my other hens would go breedy. It never happened so I put 19 in my incubator. 14 eggs developed but unfortunately all died in the shell just prior to hatch. My incubator is not very reliable. So these two original game hens are all that I have.

They were both in seperate cages at that time. It wasn't a good set up for them to go broody at that time but I didn't want my other roosters to mate with them. My other hens often go broody but it was just too late in the season for them last year.. I won't hatch their eggs this year. I don't need any siilkie game crosses.

Mine won't go broody if they see missing eggs. Most of them will quit laying if they see eggs go missing, they figure it was an unsafe nesting location.
