Pullets or roosters

Indications of cockerels at 10-12 weeks are significantly more comb development, either in size or redness; patchy coloring especially dark red on the shoulders/wings; it's also about the age when male feathering begins to develop and become visible, so pointier feather shapes and more glossy appearance almost to the point of looking wet.

I have 10 babies that hatched on sept. 2 and I still can't tell which are which I work now so I'm not around during the day to here if they try to crow. I'm trying to get individual pics so y'all can help me tell.

The birds on the left, top is a cockerel - see the darker shade of red on the shoulder/wing area; bottom is a pullet- small barely pink comb and even coloring.
Right- Top is a pullet- nice even coloring; middle is a cockerel- patchy coloring with darker red on the wing/shoulder; bottom is a cockerel- bright red comb and darker shade of red on the shoulder/wing.

Oh man that means that I have more cockerels then pullets.. I can't believe the Alfa rooster hasn't tried to attach them. They are all in the same coop. I mean he starting to peck when it's snack time but not at all when there just roaming or chillin in the coop

That's probably because he knows he's in charge. My young cockerel from my fall hatch didn't even try to challenge my rooster until a few weeks ago (he's about 5.5 months old), one small scuffle and Junior has accepted his place at the bottom of the heap.

Probably best to start rehoming them soon. The head rooster may help keep them under control for now, but unless you have at least 30 to 40 girls for all of them to share, there are going to be problems sooner or later.
