So i have two pekins and a rouen and cant get the pekins to mate and my rouen cant seem to step up either he tried abd tries but nothing anyway how do i mate the pekins. Also had them for over a year now do i need to get differenr pekin duck or a way to mate them they basically free range ducks not caged or cooped

Welcome to the group! Sometimes you get a bad drake that don't do his job. I breed ducks and i see this from time to time. It's rare, but it does happen. If he shows no interest in the hens, I would look for a replacement.

You may want to post on the "Duck thread." I do know ducks like to mate on water but, sometimes the female ends up getting drowned.
