Sexing Easter Eggers (with photos): how to help tell a young rooster from a hen

Three out of four Easter Egger pullets turned out to be roosters. I had my suspicions from the start about two of them. Here is a blog post with photos showing their progression. I hope it helps someone because I was going nuts trying to figure out their gender!

x2

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay. --Robert Frost
