What color is my roo and is he an Ameracauna?

I received this roo as a gift, and was told he is an Ameracuana.  What color is he, and does he fit the Ameracuana type?

TIA

Hello! I am not really sure what breed he is but I had an Easter Egger rooster and he looked almost exactly like that. Easter Egger/Ameracuanas are not official breeds so they have no official colors. They can be any color.

Please check out my Etsy shop! https://www.etsy.com/shop/DreamofDaylilies?ref=hdr_shop_menu

I have two Black Labs, one cat, one Welsummer, one Buff Orpington, one Barnevelder, one Easter Egger, one Red Star, one Australorp, one Barred Rock, and one Speckled Sussex!

Ameraucanas are actually a recognized breed and do have official APA recognized colors; black, blue, blue wheaten, brown red, buff, silver, wheaten , and white. Unfortunately hatcheries and feed stores frequently market their Easter Eggers as Ameraucanas when they are in fact hybrids.

His color is Columbian, but he is an Easter Egger.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!
