Welcome to BYC! Glad you joined the flock. Make yourself comfortable. Ask any questions you may have, we would be more than happy to help answer any questions you may have. Black Australorps are my favorite breed. I have 24 pullets and one cockerel.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Black Australorps would be a wonderful addition to your flock as they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle, and excellent layers of large brown eggs. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

It would be very helpful to read up on integration before adding new birds to your existing flock of 2. There's a great article about that in the Learning Center:

http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/adding-to-your-flock

It pretty much boils down to first isolating the new birds from your existing ones for about 30 days so you can be sure you aren't introducing an illness or pest to your current flock. Then give all the birds a chance to see each other without being able to touch for a while so they get used to each other.

Good luck with your chickens and always feel free to ask if you have questions.

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele
