I live in rural central Ky. When a flock of domestic ducks were abandoned on the farm across the road, I became a duck owner. I also have four French Toulouse geese. Two hens and two ganders. Also lots of other animals, but they're not poultry. I often have questions about my birds, and welcome any help I can get.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm a chicken person but I have to admit that ducklings are the ultimate in cute. Definitely post on our Duck section in Other Backyard Poultry under the forum at the top of the page and take advantage of our duck experts there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

How nice of you to take in the abandoned ducks. Do you know what breed they are? The good folks over on the duck forum can help you out with that and any other duck questions you might have. There's a geese forum too, if you want to check it out:

Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele
