Orpington Chicken gender

We have thought this was a hen, but she started crowing recently (we originally had 4 "hens" of different breeds that we got last Spring, 2 started crowing in the summertime, and we realized they were roosters and so we gave them away to a farmer.  Now this Orpington "hen" is crowing throughout the day.  Is it a hen or rooster?  Our city ordinance won't let us keep her if she is a rooster.  And my daughter is heartbroken it might not be a hen, but we've got to get it figured out...  Can you help please?  Haven't gotten any eggs from her yet, but we only got her as a chick last June.

I've include numerous shots in hopes of giving a good look at her (or him)...

Male hackles, male saddle feathers, and that darker shade of buff on the shoulder/wing mean you have a cockerel.

Cockerel.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts."

Definitely a boy. What will you do with him?

   40 waxing and waning free-range birds.
 I truly love animals, both male and female, large and small, regardless of how important humans may shallowly deem them.
I will always miss my Dovey Love.
