HELP

This evening when I get home I will remove their pool and spray more on her. She has been picking at both sides. I also plan on adding additional oyster shell to give more calcium to aid in her plumage re-growth. She was okay this morning her normal self so hopefully I caught it and will be able to be the duck doctor. I gave them BOTH vitamin water so Pepper can begin getting the good stuff too.
Sounds great .. your a good duck mama and dr. .

Oyster shell won't help with feather regrowth but it will help her to get much needed calcium while she is laying both her and Pepper. For feather help they need some extra protein. maybe they are still able to find bugs they are not around here this time of year or some dried meal worms for afternoon snack or some good quality dog or cat kibble. These will help with feathers. Protein!! The vitamins will help too.

OH! Haha I thought because they stopped laying when they molt it was because them growing feathers took all their calcium away! I give them mealworm treats along with oats and raisins.

Help.....im new to this so I don't know how to make my own post....but my duck I think has a broken or 4sure hurt foot.. He got attacked by a stray dog I was able to make sure no serious damage was done...he is now eatting and drinking back to normal... But when he tries to move his 1 foot is not flat like the other one....I don't want to take him to the vet and spend like $500 but I don't want him to suffer... Please someone help!!!

@mr ducks mom can you post a pic please might help if we can see what it looks like holding him up to see how his legs dangle and then with him standing if he can stand, don't force him to stand though if it's painful he may just have a really bad sprain too and they take quite a while to heal as do bones. can you move the foot at all? there is such a thing as a shoe[ you can make] to hold the foot at the right angel while healing but if broken depending on where and how long he has been like this it may not work so more details please where the injury is exactly and pics if you can.
