My faverolle chickens sat right behind be competing for attention haha so cute. I had to preform bumble foot extraction for the first time on one of my hens. She did great I hope It heals so I don't have to go to the vet. She handled it so well. I love my chickens :)

The rooster is still spooked out after I removed the other two roosters. His feathers are beautiful and I can see the longer silky feathers by his head coming in. I wish I could keep him

Hey there … I totally understand

, I cry whenever I rehome my boys which is one of the reasons I am not going to give in to any of my broody’s for a while. I have run out of room and do not want to bring chicks into the world that I cannot keep.

She is a cutie!!

That's my problem i.let my broody hatch a few eggs and all were roosters! Crazy. If you see the pic with both Goldie and golden, above them.sits the broody breaker. Apparently faverolle tend towards broodiness. I have used it once already and it worked great. Took 5 days total to break the broody behavior

I have 6 bantams, 3 of which regularly go broody … in summer [which we are now] Cilla goes broody pretty much every 10-14 eggs or 5 weeks from the last time.

So far this summer KiKi has gone broody and spent time in broody jail, then just after breaking her Cilla and Blondie went broody at the same time. They do not ‘play’ well with others when broody so I had to set up another broody jail. Finally got those two broken and KiKi is broody again, just 17 eggs and 5 weeks from the last time

No doubt I will get her broken and either Cilla or Blondie will have another go or both of them!

Bring on winter!! lol

How frustrating! Man. My girls are slacking on eggs. I have 4 faverolles and normally get w to 3 eggs a day now I am.only getting one or they skipped a day! Granted one is molting and she hasn't laid all month, and the one with bumble foot is probably not laying much right now that's why I want 6 layers total. That should be enough for our family
