I hope this is the right place for this. I could really use some opinions on which of these 5 Lavender Orpington cockerels I should keep as my breeder. They where hatched in spring this year and one is a few weeks younger than the others (I am not sure which). Orange band has already slipped his band somehow so I may need to catch and re-band him and retake his and no-bands pictures in order to tell them apart :p

Okay, keep in mind I'm not an Orpington breeder, and I don't own a SOP. So I don't know things like how many points they're supposed to have on the comb, etc. I'm just going by eye appeal, and what looks to be a balanced bird, and what I've seen of good quality Orpingtons.

I think most of your birds have too high a tail set. Orpingtons are supposed to be rounded, and your boys all have tails that stick up pretty high.

for overall look, I like Orange band. I'd like to see a front shot of him, but he looks a bit more substantial than the other birds. He does seem a bit longer backed, though, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not with this breed. He also looks to carry his wings a bit lower...again, I'm not sure which is desirable for this breed. If you have a SOP you can look and see which are more desirable.

I'm hoping some Orpington breeders chime in, I always like hearing good, educated critiques of birds like this.
