Hi there,
I am hoping someone out there in the chicken cosmos can help me. I live extremely remotely on an island off the coast of Australia. There is no Vet or animal supply shop here at all. I have 3 EXTREMELY ill Hi-line Brown hens 18 months old. They are all very lethargic, diarrhoea, no food or drink with out syringing fluids down. I would go as far to say that their little combs are so hot it definitely feels like they have a fever. They are not able to open their eyes. When they do they look ok, just watery. No muck at all. This is day 48 hours plus now and they are getting weaker by the hour. I don't have any access to medical help for animals at all on this island, can anyone suggest anything for humans that I may have at home that I can try to give them? Would human antibiotics help at all? I am desperate. These girls are my babies.
