Because Easter Eggers are hybrids produced by crossing blue egg laying breeds with brown egg laying breeds their appearance can vary a lot, including having or not having wattles, depending on which breeds were used in the cross and the particular genetic combinations involved.

Ok. These EEG Males are crosses of EEG (I only have one male eeg) and Is a browns. The white and red is a Silkie EEG and the black and white a EEG and is a brown I think. I only remember one silkie egg and don't remember a blue egg in the mix.

So THIS one is a silkie/EE mix????  I'd have never guessed that...

Caretaker of a lovely mixed flock including: australorp, plymouth rocks, wyandotte, d'uccles, silkies, EEs, andalusian, and a few seramas, plus a golden retriever, great dane, and three cats.  I always swore that I wouldn't succumb to chicken math.  I lied.
