Thank you all for your responses! Here is another picture to check out. The saddle feathers do not seem to point upwards like my other roosters but instead almost curve around the butt. I'm not sure if this means anything conclusive though
 
I do think it looks like a younger cockerel. The curved, rounded bum is a hallmark of the Cochin breed.

How about posting pics again in a month or so, so we can see any changes?
 
Yeah I definetly will do! That's a bummer but far from the end of the world. At least I am starting to understand the markers a little. Thanks all for your input!
