Hi duck friends! Does anyone put herbs in the duck coop? I've read that people do it for their chickens, does anyone know if any specific herbs are harmful to them? I'm also thinking of putting a bit in duckling brooder. They (only three of them!) are almost two weeks old and I clean it twice a day but they still stink!

I use Oregano in my Fermented feed. and I use lavender essential oil in my spray bottle to freshen up the shavings and coops but I haven't actually used fresh herbs in their coop. Oh wait I did hang up some cat mint off an on over the summer but it was up where none could get to it.

I buy GMO free too and make ff for my poultry. I have been making it for over 3 yrs. If you ever want to read up i have a good video and info by Sally Sun Shine, not much here to eat either so foraging is at a stand still.
