Weasels and Minks Anyone? - Page 4

I'm posting late on the thread but still might be helpful for those (like myself) that are new to BYC and trying to learn. First thought- Fishers have a very strong musky smell- it could easily seem like skunk. Other suggestion is to check Amazon for hardware cloth instead of Home Depot or Lowes. Delivery is free and I found the price to be cut almost in half!

The skunk talk was because Fisher seem to be attracted to skunk smell, you are right though Fisher and mink do smell skunky.
I found hardware cloth at a good price from Walmart online and free shipping. Amazon prices vary with demand so watch them before presuming their prices are good.

Trapping the Fisher as a preventive measure may be illegal if season is closed but you still may be able to shoot it if you catch it in the act, some places will make that distinction. I personally would just deal with it and no one would be the wiser.
